Indiantown is home to one of the most bilingual, Spanish-speaking communities on the Treasure Coast — and My First Place Academy, located at 1991 SW Savage Blvd in Port St. Lucie, was built with exactly that kind of family in mind.

Why Indiantown Families Are Drawn to This Program

For many Indiantown households, Spanish is the primary language spoken at home, and English is learned alongside it as children grow. My First Place Academy's classrooms are designed for exactly that kind of bilingual development — full immersion in both English and Spanish across every age group, from infants through VPK, so children build genuine fluency in both rather than losing ground in either.

Age-by-Age Overview

  • Infants: a calm, sensory-based first classroom with sign-language support for pre-verbal communication
  • One & Two Year Olds: language-rich daily routines, sensory play, and early independence skills
  • Three & Four Year Olds: play-based learning, early literacy, and structured routines that build directly toward VPK readiness
  • VPK: delivered through our Early Learning Coalition partnership — three free instructional hours daily for any eligible Florida four-year-old, regardless of household income
  • Before & After School Care and Summer Camp for families with school-age children

What the Academy Provides

A purpose-built facility with private parking, video-monitored classrooms, and a synthetic-turf playground. Meals are coordinated through the Florida Department of Health and integrated into the daily curriculum. Owners Veronica and Aracelly Forero remain closely involved in classroom oversight, working directly with teachers and observing lessons regularly.

Making the Drive from Indiantown

1991 SW Savage Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34953 Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 6:00pm (closed weekends & holidays) (772) 446-4011

Indiantown families typically travel east via SR-710 or Southern Boulevard into Port St. Lucie — a longer drive than some of our closer service areas, but one worth making when a fully bilingual program built the way theirs is at home isn't available closer to home.

What to Look For on a Tour

Because so many Indiantown households are already bilingual at home, families here are often especially quick to spot the difference between a program that pays lip service to Spanish and one that genuinely runs on both languages. On a tour, listen for how teachers actually talk to the children throughout the day — during transitions, at mealtime, during play — not just during a scheduled "Spanish time." That's the clearest signal of whether a program matches how your family already communicates.
